Cookie Policy
How TaleHalo uses necessary storage and optional public-site analytics
Our Approach
TaleHalo is a family picture-book service. We keep optional analytics out of private book workspaces, owner readers, and guardian-shared readers. Analytics on the public website starts only after you choose to allow it.
Necessary Cookies and Storage
Necessary cookies and browser storage keep the service working. They may be used to:
- maintain a signed-in session and protect account requests;
- remember language, theme, and interface preferences; and
- remember your cookie choice.
These technologies are not used for advertising and cannot be disabled through the TaleHalo preference panel. Blocking them in your browser may prevent sign-in or other service features from working.
Optional Public-Site Analytics
With your permission, TaleHalo may use Umami, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity on public pages such as the homepage, pricing, and public articles. These tools help us understand page visits, navigation, device and browser characteristics, and broad interaction patterns so we can improve the public website.
Optional analytics is never loaded in:
- registration or sign-in pages;
- private family workspaces and account settings;
- private book readers; or
- guardian-consented share links.
We do not use advertising, targeting, or social-media tracking cookies.
Your Choice
On your first public-page visit, you can accept analytics, reject analytics, or review the individual setting. Rejecting analytics does not limit TaleHalo's necessary features.
After making a choice, use Manage cookie preferences on any public page to change it. Withdrawing analytics permission removes known first-party analytics cookies and reloads the page without analytics scripts. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as TaleHalo or its service providers change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
